Hey Chris, I have a 48X48 ft dock on a lake that is elevated by about six feet above average water level. I would like to build a six or eight foot addition out from one of the sides with landing, stairs about two foot lower. I want to cantilever the overhang with 2x6 gussets going back to the existing pilings instead of driving more pilings. Do you know how far out I can go with the overhang?
